What began over two decades ago as a solo passion behind the lens for Head of Creative, Elvan, has blossomed into a multi award winning studio recognized both nationally and internationally. The inspiration for the name, twelfth., is deeply personal to him. It comes from his own North Star: the 12th of December, the day his daughter, Coco, was born. That defining moment shifted his world and gave new meaning to how he views time, legacy, and the moments we choose to preserve.
Today, Elvan is proud to lead a dedicated team of four, capturing a wide variety of beautiful weddings and exclusive events.
The team's approach to photography is intentional and meticulous. By applying the 0.618 Golden Ratio to their compositions, they bring a striking, high end editorial aesthetic to their work to achieve perfect visual balance. This crafted style is paired seamlessly with honest, documentary storytelling. With over two decades spent behind the lens, my approach to photography is deeply personal. While my work has earned national and international awards, and I have been commissioned by world class luxury brands, my true passion remains with couples who have a distinct vision. My mission is always to provide a seamless blend of documentary honesty and editorial elegance.
For me, capturing a wedding and event is about engaging all the senses. I am a massive lover of perfume, especially wintery fragrances with boozy, vanilla, cedarwood, and amber notes. You will find that scent is a primary way I describe a scene during our conversations. I might ask you: do you want your gallery to feel airy and smell like fresh laundry? Or do you want the images to evoke the mood of a glass of old fashioned, whiskey sour, rich leather?
Visually, I am completely fascinated by 0.618, the Golden Ratio. I believe it is the most comfortable and natural way for the human eye to experience a scene. For me, this mathematical signature of beauty is not just about where people and objects are placed in a frame. It is a philosophy for how to present light, energy, and texture to achieve perfect visual balance.
Beyond the camera, I am a devoted husband, a father of two including my daughter Coco, and a proud companion to our black cat, Tofufa. I find my balance in the quiet moments.
